Highlights - Admire how the city´s most famous landmarks sparkle at night - Soak up the atmosphere of Gran Via, one of the veins of the city - Stroll through Plaza Mayor and learn about its origins Madrid never sleeps, and for this reason what better way than discovering some of Madrid´s most popular landmarks with an evening guided tour. Make the most out of a photo stop at the iconic Royal Palace of Madrid (Palacio Real), the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family. Admire the architecture and contemplate the history of this wonderful and beautifully illuminated palace from outside, as you frame your perfect shots! Another location not to be missed is the vibrant Gran Via, the most famous road in the city. This avenue is home to numerous fashion shops, restaurants, theatres, and cinemas. Pass through what has been nicknamed " The Spanish Broadway" and appreciate the lifestyle of the locals. Before the tour comes to an end visit one of the oldest squares in Madrid, la Plaza Mayor. Located in the city centre, only a stone’s throw away from Puerta del Sol and Calle Mayor, and the city´s most beautiful areas. Whilst here, gaze and admire la Casa de la Panadería (the Bakery House), the equestrian statue of Felipe III and the Arco de Cuchilleros, an arched stairway leading to the plaza. Plaza Mayor was built in the site of the old Plaza del Arrabal, where the town´s most popular market was held at end of the 15th century. Which makes this the oldest square in Spain. Valencia has been the capital of this part of eastern Spain since the time of the Islamic Taifa of Balansiya, more than 1,000 years ago and as such boasts a number of palaces and churches that are renowned throughout the world. Route A has 9 stops: Plaça de la Reina, IVAM, San Pio V, Nuevo centro, the Conference Hall, Dama Ibérica, Bioparc, Valencia History Museum and AVE. See the stunning Silk Exchange, La Llotja, a medieval hall that is considered a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. Just over 100 metres from Stop 1 is the beautiful Cathedral, a mainly Gothic structure that also has Romanesque, Renaissance, Baroque and neo-Classical features. Hemisferic and Sciences Museum Visit via Hop on Hop off
Feel the magic of science and cutting-edge technology at the wonderful vision of the future that is the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. L'Hemisfèric is a visually stunning projection hall that looks like an eye on the outside and another universe on the inside while Principe Felipe Science Museum takes an interactive look at aspects of our everyday lives and from the wider world to the furthest reaches of the universe.
L'Hemisfèric’s projection hall has three separate systems projecting onto a curved 900sq.m screen above more than 300 patrons. There’s an Imax dome, a 3D digital screen and digital full dome projections, often of an astronomical nature. Lie back and be transported to another dimension. All these dramatic features have earned nicknames such as the Eye of Knowledge and the Planetarium.
The Principe Felipe Science Museum features a series of fascinating exhibits dedicated to themes such as climate change and human DNA. There is also a children’s area that studies aspects about natural habitats, pollution and outer space. The section on ‘magical chemistry’ is well worth checking out while there is an entire level devoted to great scientists. Sports fans will love the section devoted to the city’s most successful football club, Valencia CF, and the Marvel superheroes exhibit attracts young and old in equal measure. During the summer, from July 17 to August 31, there are special night-time shows from 8pm to midnight

Discover the legacy of Antoni Gaudí, Barcelona’s favourite son, on this guided tour of his most famous landmarks. Pass the beautiful modernist facades of la Pedrera and Casa Batllo as you make your way down Passeig de Gràcia to to his undoubted masterpiece, the unfinished La Sagrada Familia. Discover the fascinating history behind this unique structure as you skip the line and are lead on a guided tour of the church’s exterior and interior, learning how Gaudí took over the project but tragically died in the middle of construction that has still not been completed.
Begin your tour at Plaza Catalunya where you will take a bus tour of some Gaudí’s most iconic designs. Make your way up the elegant, upmarket Passeig de Gràcia lined with designer shops, major banks and most importantly, Casa Battlò and Casa Milà, two exceptional city centre Gaudí structures. Admire the flowing and undulating facades of these striking city houses that have been owned over the years by some of the city’s most wealthy residents.
Then arrive at the highlight of the tour, La Sagrada Familia, the unique and iconic basilica that Gaudí commenced in 1883 and to which he dedicated the last years of his life until his untimely death in 1926. Marvel at the towering modernist spires of its exterior and then skip the line as you head inside to admire the pillars, columns and stained glass windows of the interior. Your guide will explain the building’s rich history and detail the future plans for the church, including the vision of finally finishing Gaudí’s masterpiece before the centenary of his death
